DESCRIPTION:Celebrate fall in Michigan’s Little Bavaria during Scarecrow Fest\, with a fun family-friendly festival at Frankenmuth River Place Shops and special scarecrow displays throughout downtown Frankenmuth! \nTaking place across two weekends in October\, Scarecrow Fest includes both a Kids and Dog Weekend with special activities for everyone in the family. \nThe first weekend of Scarecrow Fest is Dogs Weekend on Saturday\, October 15 and Sunday\, October 16\, with the Rock N Roll K9s Performance Team putting on a total of 6 shows — 3 shows on Saturday and 3 shows on Sunday – at 11:00 am\, 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm in the Festival Platz area near the Cass River Bar and Grill. \nSaturday and Sunday from noon – 6 pm\, try your hand at the pumpkin catapult and see how far you can launch a pumpkin! You can also try your hand at pumpkin bowling\, pumpkin painting\, arts and crafts and take a ride on Grandpa Tiny’s barrel train. Some activities include a small fee. \nOn Sunday\, October 16\, the doggie costume contest will be held at 5:00 pm on the Fest Platz Stage. Pre-registration at Hello Cats & Dogs is required for the costume contest\, you can sign up from 11 am to 4:30 pm that day. \nFollowing the costume contest\, there is a doggie pet parade throughout the complex from 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm – dogs who participate will receive a treat bag! \nScarecrow Fest will also be held the weekend of October 22 and 23\, with the theme of Kids Weekend! \nPlease note: Event schedule is subject to change.
