This weekend, don’t miss your chance to ignite a spark and introduce your children to live theatre at the Midland Center for the Arts!
“Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type” is a family-friendly show aimed at entertaining children with dancing, music and animal costumes galore! With actors ranging in age from 9 to 11, the live production is geared toward a younger audience, ages 3 to 8 approximately.
“It’s really a family-friendly event,” Kristen Squires, special events and marketing coordinator for MCFTA said. “We hope to capture children’s attention, and introduce them to theatre at a young age. Hopefully they will take that interest with them into adulthood.”
The show is based on a children’s book written by Doreen Cronin, also titled “Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type”. Squires said MCFTA hopes to offer families a chance to “watch the story go from the page to the stage.”
The 90-minute shows, with an intermission, take place Thursday, June 14 to Sunday, June 17, starting at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. (Saturday offers both a matinee and evening show.) Admission is just $12 for adults, and $8 for kids.
Squires said parents can even visit the website, www.mcfta.org, to download free activities and worksheets pertaining to “Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type” and keep the fun going at home.
