If snow conditions are unfavorable, events will be cancelled (based on the discretion of CNC).
Snowshoe Sampler
Sun, Feb 8 • 2-4 pm & Sat, Feb 28 • 10 am-12 pm
All ages, under 18 w/adult
Drop by any time to give CNC’s snowshoes a try (self-guided), do a winter scavenger hunt or warm up by a campfire. Meet in the courtyard behind the Nature Education Center and come enjoy a winter morning in the snow. Pre-registration required.
Wetlands Snowshoe Hike*
Thurs, Feb 12 • 5:30-7 pm • Ages: 9+, under 18 w/adult
Enjoy a crisp evening exploring CNC’s Wetlands Area in winter. This will be a staff-guided hike if there is not enough snow. Meet CNC staff at the Wetlands Area parking lot. Pre-registration required.
Evening Snowshoe Hike*
Tues, Feb 17 and Fri, Feb 27 • 5:30-7 pm • Ages: 15+, under 18 w/adult
Come discover the beauty of a winter night! We will look for signs of animals, study tree silhouettes and enjoy the winter sky. Bring a headlamp or flashlight. Pre-registration required.
Family Snowshoe Hike*
Fri, Feb 20 • 2-3:30 pm • All ages, under 18 w/adult
Bring the whole family for an afternoon of exploration on snowshoes – no experience needed! We will search high and low for signs of animals as we explore on and off trails. Please bring a sled to pull younger children. Meet at the Nature Education Center. Pre-registration required.
