What might milk, balloons, shrinky dinks, shaving cream, salt, pop bottles, diapers, and a few other materials have in common?

That’s right!! These are a few of the materials we’ll be using in an upcoming chemistry workshop series! Always hands-on, occasionally messy, and often fun!

Attend on-campus (masks required), tune in synchronously over Zoom, or use the materials and recorded sessions to get curious when it’s convenient for you. Most materials for each workshop will be provided, though attendees tuning in from home may need a few household staples such as milk, ice, salt, water, etc. Chemistry kits can be picked up or mailed to you the week of February 7th.

Led by former high school chemistry teachers Center director Julie Cunningham and faculty member Jen Weible, this event is most appropriate for grades 4 – 7.
