Lego Clubs

In recent studies it has been shown that interactive play helps to develop literacy and social skills. Lego play helps to build creativity and confidence, develop motor skills, and improve problem-solving skills, while teaching children patience, persistence and perseverance.

 

  • Wickes Library

The Ruth Brady Wickes Library hosts a Lego club meeting the second Tuesday of every month during the school year. Kids ages 7–14 are invited to participate in club meetings from 4:30–5:30 p.m. For more information call (989) 752-3821 or go to http://www.saginawlibrary.org/

The Rauchholz Memorial Library hosts a Lego club meeting the third Thursday of each month. The meetings are from 6:30–7:30 p.m. for children 7 and up, children under 7 can participate with parental supervision. Mid Michigan Gymnastics USA

Mid Michigan Gymnastics USA opened in September 1998, and is owned by head coach George Young.  Young prides himself on providing a positive atmosphere for any level of gymnast, and he’s always excited to work with kids.

 

  • Big Kid Open Gym

Mid Michigan Gymnastics in Freeland has open gym every Friday night from 7:00–8:30 p.m. for children ages 6–14. The cost to participate in the open gym is $7.00 per person. No membership is required to participate, but participants must sign waiver before entering gym. Gym attire is required, no jeans allowed, and long hair must be pulled back.   • Parent and Me Open Gym

Mid Michigan Gymnastics in Freeland has open gym every Friday from 10:00–11:00 a.m. and from 1:00–2:00 p.m. for children ages 12 months–6 years. The cost is $5.00 per person. There is no membership required to partake, but participants must have a signed waiver form before entering gym. Gym attire is required to take part, no jeans allowed, and long hair must be pulled back. Parents must be present to supervise their child.

Painterly Pottery Mommy and Me Mondays

Painterly Pottery has Mommy and Me Monday every week from 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. at both of their locations in Saginaw and Bay City.
