{Make A Bag}

bagWhat mom or grandma wouldn’t totally appreciate a good bag-especially one made by her little loves!?!? This is a super easy gift that is personalized and a great keepsake too!

What You Need:

  • Bag (Michael’s Craft Store sells them for $2.00/bag!)
  • Markers
  • Card board (Make sure to put a piece of card board inside the bag, the markers could bleed through…)
  • Your Imagination!!! 🙂

What You Need:

  • 4″x4″ tiles (you can get these at Home Depot)
  • White tissue paper
  • Printer
  • Tape
  • Scissors
  • Mod Podge (Matte or Gloss)
  • Paint brush
  • Krylon acrylic clear coat sealant
  • Black felt
  • Hot Glue Gun & Glue

Directions:

  1. Print 4×4 images (or whatever size your tiles are) onto your white tissue paper. To print on tissue paper, you will need to tape the edges of the tissue paper to something like card stock, I used a magazine cover, and then feed it through your printer.
  2. After you have printed your images, let them dry, and then carefully cut them out.
  3. Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to your tile and lay your tissue paper picture over it, smoothing out any bubbles as carefully as possible so you don’t rip the tissue.
  4. Let that dry completely and then apply a thin layer of Mod Podge over the tissue. I would suggest doing 2 layers. Let the first layer dry completely before applying the second coat.http://www.thekurtzcorner.com/2011/08/diy-tile-coasters.html

Mom-Me Activities:

“They knew me in a way no one ever has. They open me to things I never knew existed. They drive me to insanity and push me to my depths. They are the beat of my heart, the pulse of my veins, and the energy in my soul. They are my kids.”

{Mom & Me Journal}

pol
I did this with my mom when I was in high school and through my college years. I loved it! It was a great place to write-anything I wanted to her. I could tell her a story about my day, a frustration I had or even just say- “thank-you”.

My oldest son is six and is a good little writer. I’m excited to start this journal with him. Now since he has a younger brother, I try to share things/memories with just him. I’m looking forward to creating the perfect cover for our journal, choosing a secret location to stash our journal for the other to find and to read anything and everything he shares with me! I think this is going to be our “thing”

{Mom/Grandma Interviews}

cardThis is a really great way to capture your kids true feelings and thoughts about you or a grandma. Kids are always saying the cutest yet funniest things. My six year old is getting such a BIG personality that I find myself constantly jotting down his one-liners. This would be fun to do for a grandma, do the interview yourself or have your hubs or a friend do it! I just love seeing myself through their eyes – sometimes their answers are right-on and other times I wonder if we live in the same house! Have fun and happy interviewing 🙂
