Reading is fundamental to children’s educations, but busy families can’t always make it into their local public library. Here at Bay County Library System (BCLS), we have quite a few options for digital children’s entertainment free to Bay County residents! You will need a valid BCLS library card to access these resources from home.

hoopla Digital

New at BCLS for spring 2019 is hoopla! hoopla is digital media that allows you to browse hundreds of thousands of movies, music, audiobooks, ebooks, comics and TV shows to enjoy on your computer, tablet, or phone – and even your TV! Titles can be streamed immediately, or downloaded to phones or tablets for offline enjoyment later. No waiting! BCLS residents can borrow up to 5 items a month at this time. Sign up for an account anytime at https://www.hoopladigital.com/.

OverDrive

Downloadable eBooks and eAudiobooks can also be found on OverDrive (https://baycountylibrary.overdrive.com/) or the app Libby. A wide selection of books for kids, teens, and adults can be found on OverDrive.

TumbleBooks

TumbleBooks is an online collection of over 1,100 books for kids preschool–6th grade, including animated picture books, read-along chapter books, non-fiction books. Some books are available in Spanish and French. The collection also includes graphic novels. ABCMouse.com

If you are able to make a visit in person, all of the children’s computers in the BCLS branches have free access to ABCMouse.com, a digital learning experience for ages 2-6.  ABCMouse has educational games, puzzles, and books
