Bay County Library System STEM Events for Spring 2020

When you think of a public library, STEM probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. But at the Bay County Library System, we love engaging with kids by using hands-on science, technology, engineering and math!

Here is a list of our upcoming STEM programs for kids at each of our branches. **Registration is required, except where noted, and opens one month before each program at 9 am. Lego Clubs (K-6)

Join us for Lego building fun at the library! Make your own unique Lego creations—builder’s choice! We
supply the Legos and you supply the imagination.

Each fingerprint is unique, and we will take a look at ours before turning them into fun drawings!

Explore this country of 17,000 islands and 300 cultures, including one of history's largest volcanic
eruptions!

Learn about China during the Middle Ages through the art of block printing, and build and test your own
section of a Great Wall!

Celebrate springtime with a story and plant a vegetable seed from our seed library, then take it home to plant outside when warmer weather arrives!

Can you earn enough to become a LEGO baron? Complete challenges while learning about supply and demand, inflation, and goods and services.

Free Math Tutoring

Tuesdays on February 25, March 10, 24, and April 14

All are welcome to drop in for free math tutoring provided by Saginaw Valley State University on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month. Some dates may not be available due to school breaks and holidays. Please check the BCLS calendar for available dates.
