
Screens can be helpful. They can give families a break, help during busy moments, or be part of a routine. The Digital Diet is not about being perfect or getting rid of screens. It is about making sure there is still plenty of room for the things children need most: play, sleep, movement, talking, and time with the people who love them.
This week, try two or three small screen-free moment:
- Read one book together
- Play music and dance
- Take a short walk
- Keep phones off the table during one meal
- Talk in the car
- Play outside for 10 minutes
- Ask, “What was the best part of your day?”
