Harnessing my inner elementary school teacher, whenever I come across a used item that once served a very valuable purpose, I have an urge to find a way to repurpose it. For instance, I used to hang all of my son’s pants in his closet, before converting to dressers. With this switch though, came an abundance of old pant hangers. I couldn’t bare to through them out, and so kept them until my husband gave me an ultimatum: repurpose the hangers, or throw them out! Of course I quickly got to brainstorming, and realized that they’d make excellent chip clips! Now, I always have them on hand, and use them for multiple purposes at home, in the office, or in the classroom.
To re-purpose
- Get a pair of working tin snips
- Cut off both ends of the hanger, allowing both clips to work independently
- Get brainstorming, and put them to good use!
