Listen up Great Lakes Bay Moms! Do you want to kick back and read your book, while Dad plays with the kids at the park? Sounds nice, right? Well, pack up your family and head to Roethke Park in Saginaw from 3 p.m to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18 for “Dad and Me Playtime at the Park”!
Under Pavilion 1, with multiple picnic tables available, there will be snacks, a scavenger hunt, a nutrition talk, bubbles, drawing—plenty of ways for Dad to have fun with the kids!
Put on by Great Start of Saginaw, a collaborative group of Saginaw-based agencies who target families with children ages birth-to-five, the event is meant to give dads ideas for things they can do for quality time with their children, make dads feel comfortable, and to just have fun.
“Moms are welcome, too,” said Jill Armentrout, parent liaison for Saginaw County Great Start Collaborative Parent Coalition, “I think it will be a time for fun with Dad, and a chance to get dads together and find out ways we can better reach dads and service dads, and to just have fun and meet other dads.”
